Under the supervision of the President of the University of Zakho Dr. Nadhim S. Abdulaziz, supported by Mr.Gohdar Shekho, the Director of Zakho Independent Administration, and in the presence of Mr.Hezha M. Tawfiq, the Deputy Director of Zakho Independent Administration, joined by Mr. Mushier M. Bashir, Governor of Zakho Central District and several political, governmental and private parties members, the first  Acoustic laboratory in the Kurdistan Region under the name of (Jaladat Baderkhan) was established on September 20, 2023, at the College of Humanities.

The work of this laboratory will be through some special equipment that will be used to test, analyze, and interpret the sounds of the Kurdish language according to scientific and academic categories, as well as the words and sentences spoken in a modern way to determine how they are pronounced.
